Parish Website Update:

In the month of June, the Annunciation Church website was visited 4,367 times. For the most part, the people who visit and utilize the information on the site are people, who either currently belong to the Parish, or at one time in their lives belonged to the Parish. Alumni/Alumnae of the Annunciation School visited the site 1,207 times in June in order to download the most recent copy of the Alumni Newsletter.

Various pages of the site were viewed 7,668 times in June. In addition to the Alumni Newsletter, people navigated to the bulletins page, general activities page, altar servers page, directions page, mass times page, etc. These pages were the most utilized pages of the site in June, and tend to be every month. In many ways, the Church website exemplifies the line from the movie "Field of Dreams", namely "if you build it, people will come."

CD Spotlight | Pick of the Week:
The Gift of Sexuality
Fr. Thomas Loya

Fr. Thomas Loya presents a Catholic vision of human sexuality as he offers an overview of Pope John Paul II's revolutionary Theology of the Body. This profound yet practical talk reveals the true meaning of our bodies in relationship to God and to one another so that we can have a better understanding of sexuality and pure love. This is a message that is badly needed in our society today

"This explains in plain language what we need to know to overcome the teachings of the world on sexuality."
Joe - Louisville, KY

Papal Encyclical Letter -- "Charity in Truth":

On July 7th, Pope Benedict XVI called for a new world financial order guided by ethics, dignity and the search for the common good in the third encyclical of his pontificate.

In ''Charity in Truth,'' Pope Benedict denounced the profit-at-all-cost mentality of the globalized economy and lamented that greed had brought about the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.
